After a weekend of moderate use, the laptop hinge seems to be holding okay. It's a bit stiff to open, but if I'm careful, it looks like it will hold okay. On other fronts, I'm up to my elbows in a new illustration for a story on slavery. The image is of a small plantation with clickable sections. I've gotten an okay start on it in Adobe Illustrator and began experimenting with different types of brush styles with my Wacom stylus. It seems to be working well for creating multiple items such as leaves on trees. I'm currently working on using a similar technique for other items. I'm trying to make the illustration colorful and interesting, since it's intended for second graders.
